Mi querido, lindo, y adorado México, ¡cómo te amo!

My Mexican heritage is something I’ve always been proud to share with the world. So for Mexico’s Independence Day, which falls on the 16 of September, I wanted to commemorate the day with a beautiful illustration. When I think of Mexico, I think of bright, vivid, passionate colors. I was inspired by the adobe architecture reminiscent of the country’s Mesoamerican roots, the expressive colors found on traditional Mexican dress, and the use of flowers to adorn our heads and alters for Día de los Muertos.

I love how beautiful it turned out! Of course there is so much more that emcompases mi querido México, but I am happy to have created this illustration to share the love and pride I feel for my country!
