From Instagram to Art

In the age of social media influencers, it has become so easy to get access to beautiful images at the tips of your fingers. I admire all the work these people put into crafting gorgeous pictures that I usually spend hours marveling at. For me, they serve as a huge source of inspiration for my work and because influencers often strike fun and sometimes over-dramatic poses, these pictures also serve as great practice when it comes to gesture and figure drawing.

I started recreating some of these pictures in my style and it’s so cool to see how they look illustrated.

I really admire each of these women as they’ve had a big impact on me and inspire me in so many ways. I definitely plan to keep doing more of these recreations because they are so much fun and have helped me to continue adapting and refining my illustration style.
