Greta Luna Priego Logo Design

As an emerging UX/UI Designer, my sister Greta asked me to create a logo for her that not only showed her personality but incorporated elements from our last name, Luna, meaning moon.

Her personality and style is quirky, dainty, and modern, so we brainstormed quite a few different ideas to refine those three characteristics into a simple symbol she could add to her resume and portfolio.

One Pinterest mood board, millions of brainstorming sketches, and several edits later, we created this little gem! We started out with a lowercase, two-story g. The design of this lowercase g best fit with our idea of incorporating a crescent moon into the logo. From the ear of the g, or the little tip at the top right of the g, hands a string that connects to a star. Greta tends to wear a lot of earrings that are dainty and long, like the stringed star you see below. So we incorporated this into the letter to enhance the quirkiness and daintiness of the design.

I thoroughly enjoyed creating this logo because it was so much fun getting to work with my sister and helping her define her brand!
