Dynamic Cycle Studio
I love trying new things and when I found an app called ClassPass that let me try out classes from different exercise studios, I signed up immediately! It was through this app that I learned about Dynamic Cycle Studio and its awesome founder, Seday Samuel. Out of all the studios I went to, Seday’s studio made me feel so welcome. She really took the time to get to know me and encouraged me to become involved with the community she’d proudly built at her studio.
One day, she reached out to me asking if I would be willing to assist her with her social media and newsletters for a few months and I stepped up to the plate! I love creating designs and graphics for social media and was really excited to start this new project with her. Over the course of 4 months, I worked closely with Seday to help her manage her social media, create fun and eye-catching graphics and videos for her studio, and plan for events. I wanted to create something really fun and cool for Seday, so I decided this would be a great opportunity to learn how to create GIFs. I had so much fun helping her and I feel so grateful for this opportunity, as it pushed me to keep my design skills sharp.
The first GIF I created for her was after she was nominated for Best Fitness Studio in Best Self Magazine. She wanted a graphic with a CTA to invite people to vote for her studio. She ended up winning for a second year in a row!
Because she loves hosting events to bring her community together, she wanted a fun graphic to announce Taco Tuesday night to her followers. To emphasize that it was a taco night, I animated dancing confetti and mini tacos around the main message, containing the event’s information.
Finally, as Thanksgiving approached, we wanted to have a design with a message that was short and sweet, while still letting her community know how grateful she is for them. I thought creating a GIF would be perfect for this! After brainstorming words that communicated what she was most grateful for about her community, I brought our idea to life!
